After meeting in Delhi we'll fly to Leh, the capital of Ladakh, often known as 'Little Tibet' in India. We'll spend three full days in Leh getting used to the altitude and exploring the surrounding valleys, timeless monasteries and gasping at the awe-inspiring scenery. Heading south on day 6 we'll make our way through the Himalaya stopping at the picturesque Lake Moriri and Lake Kar before continuing onto Manali through spectacular scenery.

Two days are spent in Manali either enjoying the various adventure activities, exploring the bazaars, soaking in the hot springs or simply relaxing in your mountain home. On Day 13 a long drive returns us to the plains at Chandigarh from where we take a short train ride back to the capital, New Delhi, where we conclude our journey.

Day 1: Arrive Delhi
Day 2: Fly to Leh
Days 3 - 5: Exploring Leh and the surrounding areas
Day 6 - 10: 5 day jeep Safari to Manali via the amazing Tso Moriri
Day11 - 12: Manali
Day 13: Drive to Chandigarh, train to Delhi
Day 14: Depart Delhi

This particular trip, while it has now formal trekking as part of its itinerary, has been graded moderate. This trip involves some days of travelling travel where the standard of accommodation may be low, or even camping and transport may be long and hard at times. For this reason it has been graded moderate. There are no real physical elements during this trip and it is designed for people in good health but no trekking is planned for this trip.
All meals between Leh and Manali are included as part of the itinerary (4B, 4L, 4D)

Price does not include internal flight from New Delhi to Leh. Please allow US$150 for this flight to be paid to your group leader en route. Although we will be travelling in remote areas, good physical fitness is NOT a prerequisite for this trip
